You you have a softball or baseball league,
the new way to keep it together and provide contact with your team roster is with TIMU.com

My nephew Caleb helped on this.
Small word too, I signed up to play softball and one of the team members signed our team up on Timu.
Now I can check my team stats online and check in with everyone.
It even will automatically send out text messages to my phone with changes.
Pretty cool.

I notice they can do other sports too, and even pro team sign ups.

Cookie,
Very nice video of the kids with disabilities playing ball.
It must have been fun for you two.

I worked a little bit in High School playing with kids in a swimming pool, that were a bit behind the other kids in school.
They were always glad to see me.

Caleb is 31, Matt is a friend of his. Caleb seems to always be helping out on some new start-up, that eventually becomes big and gets sold.
He likes thinking of new business models.

We had our first softball game last night, so we are 2-0 so far.
I think the first game was 18-11 and the second was 27-5
I got on base everytime, with a triple and two doubles.
Jamie said one was an error though.
Hey, I'm going to call it six for six until I see how they scored it.
I had my three grandkids in the stands, and I was playing with my daughter Amy. She's the school teacher in Mukilteo.
The women on the team were awesome last night.

Softball at Marymoor Park

Seven games into the season, my age is showing.
At 57 it's harder to get a home run.
Come on legs!
So I'm batting 727 with four triples, three doubles and nine singles.
Slugging at 1.227

Jamie came out and played Monday with us.
Of course, him being younger he had to show off.
One over the fence, one triple and one double for him that night,
Drove in about six runs too.
Dang, remember the days.

Terry getting a hit, it was upper 90's during the game.

Jamie scoring during the game.

Our pitcher spraining her leg at home plate.
I guess we will be missing her a few weeks.

That's the new 30 oz Mayhem bat I"m using.
It does feel good.

At the Monday game, I think most of the guys are now using the green bat.

At Tuesdays game, with my sons team, a lot used the green bat too.
We won the first game, but then RR from the BJ Shea show, hit a bomb with my green bat.
And then he picked up a ball at second, and swiveled and fired a bullet to the first basemen.
That was enough for the umpire. Well, maybe a few other things too.
He kicked RR off for the second game.
Said he was throwing the ball too hard.
It was a perfect throw, to be sure, but the replacement 1st basemen, who didn't know you couldn't lead off in softball didn't catch it.
That, and you know Rick, he likes to have fun.
Some guys just can't handle someone that is having fun and vocal while they are having a bad day.

So that would have left us with nine guys to their ten.
So out of protest, we forfeited the second game.

After the umpire left, we and the other team played the next game with our own umpire, and had more fun that way.
RR hit one more over the fence foul, then the next one over for a HR.
It got a bit crazy after that.
I couldn't believe the other team would throw me out trying to stretch a triple into a homerun. Here I am running toward home with a bad quad and hammy, and they pick the ball up and throw home.
You think they would give an ailing 57 YO a break.
If I can't hit it "over" the fence, at least let me run around the bases.
What's the deal with 10 foot fences anyway.

Jamie had a diving play in Left Center, got the out and hopped up and doubled the runner from second for a double play.
That brought a lot of hollering from both teams.

The Season is over, the team went 10-8

My daugther Amy was hitting home runs and triples near the end.
For some reason I was getting doubles and singles, one triple near the end.
My batting was .615 and slugging .961

Well, there's always next year.

Looks like I have some hiking left to do before ski season kicks off.

I'm the back row on the left, with my daugher Amy standing next to me.
