We are debating swapping out our yet-to-be-installed shower tower panel for another unit comparable in panel (body/base) width but not in height, the new panel is shorter by 16.5". Additionally, the transfer valve from the first shower unit has already been plumbed into the wall. Do either of these factors prohibit the exchange? Thank you!

Assuming the prep was done properly for the first panel, that would put the top shower head at a reasonable height so you didn't have to duck to get it to hit your head. It's unlikely that a 16.5" shorter panel would put the top outlet high enough.
