I am replacing my 3 valve faucet in the bathtub. I cut a hole in the wall to access and it has been replaced before. Whoever did it soldered the tub spout and shower pipes to the 3 valve body. Do I need to break those solders? See pictures.

I soldered like that a few times decades ago I dont know why I guess we trusted it more. Id cut the shower risers a few inches up and remove the tub spout on other side of wall, hot and cold Id cut off a few inches lower as well . just gotta open the wall a bit more valve will come right out thanks to the awsome notch the plumber made ! I wouldnt try unsoldering anything there
