Regen Frequency

I have a 80,000 grain water softener that I needed because my sandpoint well had a massive amount of iron in it (I used it to remove the iron). It regenerated based on water flow, which turned out to be almost every other week or so. I have since replaced that sandpoint well with a proper well drilled about 130feet deep. I no longer have any iron in my water and also near zero hardness. However, I do have gross alpha that is above the allowable EPA limit. My question is, now that my softener will only be used to remove the radioactive ions, which are trace, how often do I set my softener to regen?
