I have a pretty straightforward shower. 5 x 36 with a center drain. I have the pre-slope poured and the liner installed. But my wife has decided she wants a wall/shelf built along the back wall. This is an outside wall with 2x4 construction so it's too narrow for a niche unless I build it out anyway. My question is, since I already have the pre-slope poured and its sloped away from the wall, is it that big of a deal to simply rough in a wall on top of the outside edge of the pre-slope, and lay a new liner over it rather than bust out the pre-slope and start over? Thanks for any feedback / advice.
