The statement "...it was basically blowing air colder than room temperature air..." implies that you are using the CH240 to drive a hydro-air system?

If yes, you should NEVER use outdoor reset with hydro-air!

With hydro air, choose a fixed output temperature for the boiler thatsimultaneously:

1: delivers acceptably warm air temps at the supply registers- at least a couple degrees above human body temp or there will be a wind-chill instead of "warm summer breeze"

...and...

2: return water temperatures from the coil to the boiler that are in the condensing range (sub 125F)

...and...

3: the coil can deliver at least as much heat as the minimum modulated output of the boiler.

The particulars of course depend on the the specifics of the air handler and duct system, but for most systems boiler output temps much cooler than 120-125F will end up with tepid exit air temperatures, and at some low temperature the output of the coil will drop below the min-fire output of the boiler, causing the boiler to cycle on/off during continuous calls for heat. Many hydro-air coils can deliver condensing temperatures to the boiler with boiler output temps as high as 140F.

What model air handler is it?

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
