Mixet, Simple tub handle question

Hi to all!!

Question on this older shower handle. How do I know what size for replacement?? There is no brand name and I haven't been able to find anything close. Probably from the 80s?

Home Depot list it on their web site. Dance makes replacements. If you google “DANCO Handles for Mixet Temp and Volume” others sell it. It’s more likely it will not be in retail store. Danco part number 88969. It’s on Amazon for $16
