J5 vs J5s

Hi there , I currently have a goulds j5 with shallow well adapter on it ,want to buy pump as a spare so when my pump dies I will be ready to go .I would like to know if the j5s will do the same thing as my j5.The j5s seems cheaper and less work.Also where would be best place to buy pump on line , Thanks

J5s has the adapter built in. The pump you have the adapter is a separate kit. You'll have to change the pipes a little or simply re-use the back piece of the pump.

Thanks for your help , I think I will stick with j5 with adapter . The only thing now I have to figure out witch adapter I have isee they sell two for this pumpFH5 andFH5H again thanks for your help
