I'm always walking by stuff that makes me stop, and look closer. Let's share the stuff we see, that we take notice of. It might not be something we'd ever want to use, but might inspire new ideas.

This is from a big commercial job I'm on.

I really liked this bathroom floor. The diamond shaped pieces are all individual tiles.

This is some clear glass faced tile, with gold leaf on the back. Hard to get a picture of, and not my thing. Guess some people like it.

.... Let's share the stuff we see, that we take notice of.....

Does the smoke show I saw Downtown today count? Or are you talking strictly tile photos. She look kind of like this.

Except the dog was on a leash and walking by itself. What is with all these hot women and their little tiny dogs? This pup growls if you look up higher than her knee.... lol

More stuff that I think is kinda cool. Super textured, chrome looking tile, these really nice 3D trapezoids, and a marbleized tile with a patterned texture.

Check out this exterior "tile" install. Its over a membrane roof. Its all floating. Leveling towers hold up this grid, and the finish material sits on top. Water makes its way to standard roof drains, and away. Nothing is set yet, but it'll be interesting to see it finish out.

I like it. More and more decks are being built this way. I met a few weeks back with my Ardex Rep and he told me that Schluter was shying away from exterior deck recommendations lately. He told me as well that Ardex bought a new drainage company in Germany that has water migration technology. Looking forward to seeing this at the next home show.

It seems that exterior decks are not working the way they should. Water is not travelling through 2" of deck mud and all the way to the gutter.

Shocking! Not.

Not shocking at all. Looks like they'll have spacers at the tile intersections, and water will migrate to the roof surface through those gaps.

More stuff....

Another metallic tile..

I hope they plan on hosing the exterior deck down every day. There's gonna be some really funky stuff running between the 1/8" gaps between the "tiles".

There's a ton of slab work on this job. Big pieces. The book matching, and seaming is pretty impressive. No miters, and the edges look kind of cheap. The material itself is spectacular, IMO.

The main control panel is wired, and online now. This controls all the AV equip, and massive amounts of lighting.

The main chandelier is up, and lit. It's the most impressive piece I've ever been involved with, or even seen. You guys ready for this? :)

This is your kind of place, Roberto. It's my Mon-Fri stuff. ;)

Seems all these patterned tiles are the thing now. Are you installing that, Erik?

The chandelier is nested safely 60' above the deck. It will carry live performers. This job will be done this week, and then maybe I'll be able to get a top on my daughters counter.

This isn't even full speed. Just another teaser. Eat your heart out, John. LOL

It'll be full blown by Wednesday, OR ELSE!!!!
