Grundfus SQFlex pump direct solar hookup?

Hi, After reading a bunch of documentation on the Grundfus website I'm confused. Can the SQFlex pumps be hooked up directly to Solar panels without any control box or anything? It sure would make the installation simple.

Yeah it is clear as mud right? But I think you will need a controller.

3.3.4 Controllers for SQF pumps
You can connect SQF pumps to the following controller types:
• CIU 273
• CIU 903
• CU 200
• IO101
• IO102
• IO50.
