Hi All
ok Im on a small island in Vanuatu and am operating a great little wood fired boiler distilling sandalwood and ginger oil.
So the remoteness i am wanting to get a 12 volt or 24 volt DC feed water pump.
I have 60 PSI on the other side of the 1 way valve.
I need to pump around 500 litres an hour.
Its direct out of rain water tanks.
So my questions are 3
1. What pump pressure do I need to push feed water into the boiler at the set pressure i have in boiler?
2. Also does anyone know of any suppliers of DC water pumps to suit?
3. Who supplies hand pumps for emergency stand by?

Thanks

These are only ones that I have read about. These have a good reputation. I expect there are more.

I think SQFlex http://www.grundfos.com/products/find-product/sqflex.html can work with AC or DC down to 30 volts. Often powered by solar panels. Very expensive.

Boat stores would have pumps that can run on 12 volts, but I doubt they can do 60 PSI.

http://www.simplepump.com/ Not cheap. While usually hand operated, they can be motorized. They can pump into a pressurized system in some configurations.
http://bisonpumps.com/ has hand pumps that can pump water.
