Hello,
I had the decade-old vacuum breaker for my irrigation system replaced yesterday. The new vacuum breaker is a Febco-765 bought from Home Depot (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Febco-S...-NPT-Pressure-Vacuum-Breaker-765DBV/202309635). When the plumber finished the installation, he asked me to turn on the main from inside.
When I checked on the VB after the plumber left, the VB was bone dry. I thought the water's supposed to gush out during the initial pressurization process, making the VB wet. That makes me wonder if the VB is properly pressurized.
My questions:
1. Is my concern unfounded?
2. If indeed it sounds like it's not properly pressurized, what should I do to re-pressurize it?
Thanks!
