Wanting to replace my cartridge type with ceramic valve type.
Do want one with levers/handles instead of knobs.
Anybody got leads? Not seeing much online like I need.

While you are allowed to repair an existing shower valve that does not have anti-scald tech, you cannot replace the whole thing without that capability. As a result, there are very few 3-handle valves out there. Most have gone to at most, two, one for volume and one for temperature. Most of them utilize a tub diverter spout, but most all offer a dedicated diverter valve, but it's not usually part of the main valve...it's separate.

Pfister 3-Handle Tub & Shower Rough-In Valve
This 3-handle shower and tub rough-in shower is one of the best shower valves thermostatic. It is perhaps the best accessory (in our view) to attack your preferred handles and spouts. Concerning type, it is a thermostatic, diverter and volume control valve making it a great performer for installation in high-quality bathrooms.

The valve is constructed with high-quality metal to ensure maximum sturdiness. You can install it in your bathroom, laundry room, and garden. The design material is durable and heat-resistant allowing you to enjoy your shower for years without worry.

It features 1/2 inch union inlets and 1/2 IP outlets and comes with appropriate union nuts. Measures just 0.1 x 8 x 10.6 inches and weighs only 1 pound.

The best thing about this 3-handle shower valve is the fact that you have individual controls or adjustment for cold and hot water. This gives you more power allowing you to enjoy showering at your pleasure.

The valves are nicely engineered and come with extra-set of valves. Pfister designed the body of the valve to accept several different trim sets. You will need to buy them separately.

Installation is fast and very easy. First, you must make sure you gave the right components so that you do not experience compatibility issues. There is no need to alter the current plumbing behind your bathroom wall to install your new shower valve.

Special Features:

  • Three-hole installation
  • It is a thermostatic, diverter and volume control valve
  • High-quality metal control ensure optimal sturdiness and longevity
  • 10” fixed valve body
  • Covered with Pfister’s Pforever warranty

You'll be surprised to know how many homes have 3 valve faucets and 2 valve faucets out there.
Parts and repair kits are available everywhere. When the rough in body is undamaged, replacing valves, washers and seats make repairs so easy. Brand new faucets are available too.
I don't disagree with the anti scalding idea, to protect small children and the elderly, but the single handle faucets are not as dependable as the multi valve faucets IMHO.

Lots of choices, you don't have to spend a lot of money. If you can't fix the wall, then a remodel plate or one of the valves that come directly with a larger escutcheon will work after you make the hole larger to get access. Here's one.

Well, I'm disappointed. Trim kit wont work with this faucet. Prob could make the diverter work but the escutcheons sure wont fit the valves. No threads to match valve covers. Only have 5/8"-18 TPI at outer end and plastic nipples for them.
Anybody know levered trim that'll fit faucet?
