What box does everyone use to accommodate NM-B 8/3? Any issue with using a plastic box with a NM-b cable clamp (the metal ones)? Do you guys not worry about a clamp and just secure the cable close to the box? I was thinking about using a metal box, but then how does ground get pigtailed?

Thanks in advance!

Not listed to use a metal clamp in a plastic box unless it was designed for it. Several ways to pigtail with a metal box - they make wire nuts for 3 8ga wires, or split bolt, polaris connector, even a short grounding bar.

Might be easiest to get one of these https://www.platt.com/platt-electri...Allied-Moulded/RD-42/product.aspx?zpid=513060
