Hello ,

I am trying to do what i thought was a simple job and replace a bathtub drain .
Upon removal i noticed the p
Bushing threads are uneven so a new drain will not screw in evenly.
Any tips on removal of the bushing so it can be replaced would be great.. obviously turning it isn't working

I've never used it but I think you need a Tub Drain Removal Tool. Its an inside pipe wrench that expands to fit the inside of pipe.

I t5hink the tool will work , I dont own one nor used one befor either if the bushing and work was new it would come out easy maybe a pair of needle nose pliers even work . or even other pliars including channel locks.
I hate those cheezy bushings and undersized drains but whatever it takes to do your job
