Hi Guys - I did have do a search but I'm not finding much relative to my question..
I see guides for fireblocking using some plywood or pieces of 2x4 in each stud cavity to reach the concrete of the foundation - My question (image included) Is there a reason that I couldn't use a 2x6 top plate, mounted all the way back to the sill plate, along with some fireblocking foam. The image may make more sense than I can describe. Thanks for any input!
