I need to wire a 2nd attic fan. It was installed by the roofer. I'm going to split off the wire going to the current fan to go about 50' to the new fan.

How do I select the right wiring for the new fan?

Any secret tips for splitting the wire?

Thanks.

Your going to install a junction box with new wiring going to your new fan. Depending on the fan your probably going to be using 12-2 wire. But you definitely need a junction box, by the way your describing it you may want to hire an electrician.
