Additional Sand Points

I recently washed down a 1-1/4 sand point to 20' with water at 12' - 1HP jet pump and 44 Gal tank, it provides enough water for two of my smaller sprinkler zones, but will not keep up with the larger zones. Will additional 1 or 2 points actually provide more water flow?

If the pump is large enough to run the larger zones and is just starving for water, then yes a couple more points will probably do the trick.
