Hi all,
I have a friend that bought a smaller water heater and wants to add it to his larger water heater. Is that gonna be a problem because one is shorter than the other?
The videos I watched on how to tie two together, shows an equal balance of piping and you can’t do that one shorter, right?

Have your friend return the WH and install a

Cash Acme 3/4 Inch Tank Booster Water Heater with Thermostatic Mixing Valve, Temperature Gauge, Braided Hose, Domestic and Commercial Application, PEX Pipe, PE-RT, CPVC, Copper, 24644

An Amazon search, about $146. You set the water heater to 140 degrees and the mixing valve, factory set, discharges the water at a safe 120 degrees. It makes a 50gallon water heater equivalent to a 90 gallon heater.
