    Finally received the Straight Tub Shoe. Quick question before I start installing this thing. Do I install this with or without the brass nut? If it is with the brass nut, how does it make a seal? Pictures below

    Thanks for your reply and concern. You suggest connecting PVC female threads to male metal threads? Will that not fail due to stress? If it will fail, would something like the picture below be appropriate? Also, I can access the tub through the wall behind it if I cut drywall.
