Pipe Sizes for Older Water Meter Horn

Replumbing a 1950's ranch. The main water line is black PE going to a series of galvanized and copper connections and a gate valve. From there it hit the water meter horn. Another series of galvanized pipe on the other side eventually hit more copper. Everything was shot.

Both the intake and output of the horn have those nuts that slide onto a pipe to form a water tight connection.

The intake has the same OD as 3/4" copper, a nice tight fit. The output side is larger. It's a snug fit around 3/4" schedule 40 pipe.

I'm plumbing the entire house in PEX and would appreciate some direction on the type of pipe I would need to transition to the PEX.
