Good advice on trying to rotate the shaft. That maybe all it needs. As I stated it was installed new about 12 months ago, initial test pumped good. Thank You.

Thanks Valveman for the link, parts diagram and the possible cause. I do not expect low voltage because I brought it back to the house and tested and it did the same thing. I will check out the start capacitor.

Installed new BF03S a year ago tested and pumped fine. Pump is installed in remote cabin/pump house and was not drained before being subjected to freezing weather. In recent test, motor hums when plugged in but does not pump or leak. Also, big problem with "mud daubers" building nest inside...
