I have a leak in the 1" service main to my house. What type of fitting should I use to splice in a new section of poly? Thanks

What color is the "polyethylene" pipe? There are barbed inserts which use hose clamps to seal, and also "compression couplings" which slip over the outside. IT depends on the actual i.d. and o.d. which will work for you. If the pipe is blue, I would not bother patching it because it WILL break again.

The pipe is black and labeled 1" "Endo Poly" water service tubing. It's about a 350-400' run so I am not anxious to replace the whole line.

Barbed couplings and stainless clamps, two per joint or a total of four per connection and be sure to place the clamps opposite each other. Also, use either stainless or brass couplings, the plastic ones are crap

Thank you. The leak was fixed by a professional plumbing outfit two years ago. And you guessed it, they used a plastic compression fitting and now it is leaking.

Thanks. I figured out I have 1" HDPE CTS pipe, so I just need to find a local supplier of the Floplast fittings.
