sediment in water line

I rexently had my tub fixtures replaced with a one handle unit. There was cutting of pipes to change the fixture. Now after it has been off for a bit and I turn it back on, the water initially comes out with the rusty color. what can i do about this? was my foxture installed incorrectly?

  1. Rust in bathtub water, precursor to trouble?

Pull the spout and replace the galvanized nipple with a brass one.

We always carry brass in our trucks.
That kind of thing has always bugged the heck out of me.
