  2. How to drain a gas steam boiler?

    I just had a new gas steam boiler replaced and would like some guidance on how to best drain the system. I had wanted to run a hose directly to the basement cleanout trap through the knockout cap, perhaps by having the hose permantly connected to some type of cover for the trap in place of the knockout cap. I was told that is not the proper thing to do and that I should not keep removing the trap cover to drain the tank. I do not have another floor level drain in the basement. Since the hose needs ...

  3. Toilet venting for Reno

    I have a shower in my basement which has a concrete floor. I tore out the shower stall and now am trying to replace the drain which has lead around the PVC pipe. I have tried everything to remove the lead without breaking the plactic pipe. Any ideas would be helpful
