I have a well. The kitchen faucet(cold only) and outside faucets are the only ones not running throught the water softener. They are also the only ones that spurt mostly air after someone takes a shower or we do laundry. What is going on? Pressure in the tank is 60 psi.
Thanks,
Bob

May be

you are in a marginal amount of water with your point [screens] ,where water enters end of pipe. you need good flow, and a large amount of resevour water, under ground, to draw on. You run out of water underground and start sucking air. another possability, is a coupling is leaking and sucking air. my advice is to call a well driller, chances it's time to drill.
There are folks who know much more than me around here! See what they say. Ive put in 7 wells myself.
