I have a two line jet pump that provides my small house with water. From the pump I have 3/4 black pvc pipe that is fastened to a copper intake near the water well troll tank, no more than 3 feet in length with two silver collar screw down fittings. The black tube is bent like a boomerang and is bending away from the copper and making a hissing noise but no water is dripping at this point.
Is there a trick to re-securing this fitting without removing the plastic piping and draining the water from the system? May be by heating it up?
Near the GE filter there is another spot where I hear hissing and a very small drip is happening. It is a copper fitting where you need to hold the right side still while turning the left side. I tightened this and still a very slow drip.
Is the hissing a major issue or can it be left alone even with a small drip. The pressure gauge was at 30 psi with no hissing.
