Kitchen Sink Clogged!!!

Help... I my roommate poured a whole pot of rice down the sink and now its clogged and the pipes below are starting to leak... Anything I can do without calling a plummer?

I guess chopsticks won't work. :D

Maybe, you could take the elbow off the pipe underneath and drain that pipe into a bucket; then, reconnect it. But, I am not a plumber.
P.s. If you do drain that pipe and get all the rice out of it, don't empty that bucket into the toilet. This will maybe, add insult to injury.

stil clogged

Ok so ive unscrewed everything the U part and got as much rice as i could. Now theres rice in parts that i cant unhook... is it time to call the plummer?

Rice glue is basically made by dissolving rice in boiling water.

Thus, I hope you did not pour boiling water down that pipe.

I'm curious as to why your pipes should leak.

Anyway, I'd replace the U-trap and flush cold water down the line. You might save yourself the expense of a plumber.

I am not a plumber.

If clearing the P-trap wasn't enough, you need a plumber to auger the drain. That mess needs to be chopped up before just pushing it deeper into the drain line.
