Sulfur smells...from one shower head only!

This problem is a little unusual and I'd appreciate any guidance anyone might have to resolve:

For the past 1-2 years we have been getting the very rude "rotten egg" sulfur smell from our well water, but only from one of our shower heads! We have three bathrooms in the home but the odor only seems to come from the master shower head. Occasionally, a mild odor comes from the master sink as well.

We have a well and septic. The odors are not evident from any other faucets or shower heads in the house. We have a water softening system also which obviously feeds all bathrooms and the kitchen.

My concern is that the smell is coming from the fresh water feed on a fairly regular basis. I'm planning to change the shower head but was would appreciate feedback from anyone having any thoughts on this problem. Thanks in advance!!

anode rod in heater??

see if it only happens on the hot side of the

one shower......

its a possibllity that is could be the mag rod in the heater....



if it is both on ho t and cold in the water you might want to

try bleaching the well fur fun
