My house was built in 1940. I'm remodeling a second floor bathroom. The old toilet has a large tank. In the 8 yrs we've been here I've never had to use a plunger. There is an area in the basement where there is a slope that drops about an 1-1/4" per foot. Will I have a problem with waste flow using the new water conservitive toilets?

no you wont.....
they flush pretty well.....
the Toto, the Eljer and the GERBER all flush real good
and you can also change the flappers out on the Eljer and Gerber
for a larger roaring flush if need be
You will have no problem as long as you use a good brand toilet, especially on the second floor.

It's been over two years since I started this thread. I installed the Toto Drake about a year ago and we love it! Thanks again!
