So I hate to second guess people, but I have a fitment problem with a toilet and it's wax ring/horn.

It was recommended to me to just use a wax ring by itself, and again not to second guess but I'd prefer it at least more than one person recommended that, I'm a little uneasy doing something I'm not confident in on the advice of only one person.

I'm doing work in my bathroom and a rental property so look forward to more crazy questions from me!

Thanks in advance!

Depending in your situation, you may need one wax ring, or two.

If you have a wax ring with horn, and the toilet doesn not drop down to the floor,
you may want to use the wax without the horn.

There are many plumbers that don't use the wax with horn.

It all works.

The main thing, is to fill from the flange, to the bottom of the toilet base, sealing for sewer gas and water.
