I am new to pex plumbing. I know the tubing for radiant heat is different from the domestic water. I have some pex heat tubing left over, can it be used for the domestic. This may sound like a dumb question but I don't know much about pex, and I want to make sure its safe for drinking. Thanks

I use Wirsbo hePex, and that is *not* allowed for potable (domestic-drinking) water.

Don't know the story with other brands.

Thanks,

This is Zurn Pex hydronic barrier tubing. I guess it would not be suitable for potable water either.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess it isn't.

AquaPex (Wirsbo/Uponor) isn't very expensive. Just buy the right stuff and go from there. :)
