Hello,
I am new here, and I wanted to ask a question because it seems like a great place to get advice.
I am doing some renovation in my home. I want to move my water from the kitchen in the garage, it is about 25 feet distance. My water heater is electric and the home foundation is a slab.
Roughly, what would be involved in doing this?
Thanks...

WHere's the power panel? In the garage?. Where's the nearest hot water line from where you want to put it and what is the size? You might be able to cap the cold water where it is, and maybe even th ehot, and tap into the lines closer, but the sizes may not line up and you might not get th eflow you want or need.
Do you have an easy way to run the new pipe? Is the garage heated? Do things freeze where you live? Moving the heater out of the conditioned space may mean it will cost more to operate, but if you are in a mild part of the country, it may not. While the tank wouldn't freeze normally, the lines going to it could. And, if the power was off for an extended time in a really cold spell in some parts of the country, the whole thing might be ruined.

Thanks for the answers.
The power panel is in the garage. The nearest hot water line to where I want to move it is the one that it is currently hooked up to. There is not one closer. Being on a slab, I think the attic is my only option for running the pipe. I guess it would be relatively easy to do so. The garage is not conditioned, but I live in Alabama where it does not get below freezing too much.
Is running this pipe through the attic considered a bad idea?
Thanks...
If it will freeze, then the attic is not agood idea.

run it through the attic,
just wrap the pipes in insualtion
and you probably wont have any problems...
if you are worried about freezing, use Wirsbo pex and
run a heat cable
and wrap both the pipes with it , then cover it wth insulaiotn....
it will work
In Alabama, even in freezing weather, the attic will probably not get below freezing because of heat rising from the house. I would run the piping in the attic in your situation.
