I am replacing an old tub with a wider one. The centerline and drain of the new tub are aproximately one inch further from the wall than the old one. I can pretty easily make the tub drain tie to the tub trap, but how do I plumb the overflow with the one inch offset? Can I utilize a flex PVC/spa hose to connect that, or is there a usable flexible overflow head for making that connection?

drain

Get a tub drain assembly that uses schedule 40 pipes. Then you can offset it as necessary using standard drain fittings.

Schedule 40 offset

I don't think that you can manage a 1 inch offset with sched 40 fittings unless you go one way and than the other. Is an inspector going to clear that?
