I'm sending a drawing of the water lines and how I think it would be laid out. I know I'm giving you guys a run for your money in laying out all this stuff. Too bad I can't grasp it like I should. So here's the layout for the water lines. Main line is out the back door so I'm assuming it goes directly to the water heater. (I think)

No sprinklers or outside faucets? Shut-off valve for the house? Do you want the water to come in under your front door?

Water Faucets

About 10' out the back door is the main water shut off. The kit sink, washer, bath sink and toilet will have it's own shut off valve. The outside faucets have already been installed on a separate line. I'm not sure what you mean by "do you want the water to come in under your front door?" The main line is out the back door.

Forget This Post

I have no idea where my head was when I posted this message. I completely forgot we're using tankless units in bath and kitchen. lol.... I guess I'm losing my mind now... Thanks,

More important than the layout is the sizing for the # of fixtures you have.

Not to be rude or to condescend (heck, I am a thrifty diyer m'self) but my (not so pro) opinion is that planning the DWV and water might be a bit out of your league. Yr best approach might be to give yr basic design here to some pros. Then ask them what additionally they need to know to give you a bid for the job. I understand their reluctance to give you a full design, but they can certainly give you an estimate. As long as you ask and understand how that price can be upwardly affected once the job begins, y'll have enough info to pick the right person.

If it were me (as with ANY hired professional service) I'd get my short list by word of mouth - not a phone book.

If I were a pro plumber, and you had cold beer, I'd be happy to come over to your place, discuss your plans, get them in shape for your permit application, and drink your beer, all at my normal hourly rates. If I get the ultimate job, that's great too, but not required.

You might want to search this forum for tankless vs storage WH discussions.
