I recently washed in a new well. I followed the directions linked in this forum. 2" PVC initial wash. Well line is 1 1/4" PVC with (2) 5' PVC well points in tandem. I have a 1HP pump which is running fine(approx. 45 psi @ 15 GPM). The bottom most well point is @ 33' depth and I hit initial water @ 7-8'. I live in Virginia Beach which has a pretty high water table. I hit a fine grey colored sand with virtually no pebble/shell inclusion. Seems to be plenty of water, but I get some sand residue(the grey stuff...very fine which makes the water cloudy when I pump it into a 5 gal bucket). Should I go deeper into another aquifer that has more pebbly inclusion to help keep the sand out of my water or is this normal? The well points have fairly fine slits (I think around 82 per foot of length), bought it at Lowes, so it is the standard stuff they sell. I'm getting ready to put in an irrigation(sprinkler) system and want to ensure my junk is straight before I go on. Please help!!
