I am doing a bathroom remodel and have a question about the vent for the toilet. Are there any rules about how far the vent can go horizontally before it goes up and out of the roof? Currently it runs about a foot to a small wall next to the toilet, and then up through that wall to the roof. I want to tear that wall down. Can I route the vent under the floor about 5 or 6 feet and then send it up to the roof? I guess I would nned to go over, up, back over, then up and out to the roof so i do not have to make a new vent in the roof. Is this possible? I don't want to do anything stupid.
Thanks,
Rich
