replacing widespread faucet on bathtub

Hello, I would like to change a widespread faucet on our jacuzzi tub with a new one. How do I do that? Do I need to open the tiles to get access or is there are some tricks to do it without ruining the current set up? Thanks!

You will need access from below. If the installer did not provide an access panel somewhere, you are in trouble. I am referring to deck mounted. If you have wall mounted, that also would require access into the wall from the front OR rear to replace the valve..

In both cases, you can repair the valves, and usually replace the trim, just from the top/front./
