I have a Flotec model FP401215H-04 the thing wont shut off on its own....I installed a pressure guage on it and it will cut in @ 32psi and only reaches 47 psi and will not cut out, I think the setting is supposed to be 50 psi. What do I do next? Thanks for any help, I'm just a do it your selfer....

Nozzle or impeller is clogged?
Foot valves leaks?
Try removing the small plug at the bottom and cleaning venturi out with wire.

I adjusted the switch and it will now cut off at 48 psi...but I would like to find the solution....I dont think the foot valve is leaking and as for the venturi i'm not sure what that is

Your lucky to get 48 psi out of a Flotec.

Just because the switch is set high does not mean the pump can get there. Those pumps are over rated in the first place.

If the jet were plugged it wouldn't get past 28 psi.

What horsepower is the model you have?

it is a 1/2 HP, what pump would you recomend? The pump is aprox 2yrs old....
it was keeping up to pressue, as I thought...There wasn't a pressure guage hooked to it so I don't know what I started with....

My well is 12 to 15' deep, My house is 3 stories and the flotec is suitable but just..The shower is nothing to brag about...It is just regular house hold use...no irrigation systems... water the flowers a couple of times in the summer...If I could get my shower pressure up I would be happy...

I would recommend a 1hp. It can make more pressure while pumping the same amount of water the 1/2 hp can pump. Probably 20 to 25 lbs. higher. That would make a large difference in the pressure coming from your shower.

Either way, there is a switch on the back of the motor that changes it to the voltage you are going to apply.
