Gerber with Sloan Flushmate

I was in a motel this weekend that had a Gerber (model not marked on the bowl) elongated toilet with a Sloan Flushmate in the tank. There was a serious flushing problem resulting from the fact that the toilet didn't have any washdown from the center front. It would leave paper at the front where a woman often drops a wad of paper that doesn't fall into the water spot.

It required multiple flushes, or finding a means to push the paper into the water spot.

An elongated toilet MUST HAVE center front washdown. The Gerber didn't work.

You need to spend more than $19.95 on a motel .

As for "a means to push the paper into the water spot", sometimes you also need a means to push what I call "Foxworthy stools" into a position that they'll go fown the drain, rather than spin around in the bowl. WTH, you're going to wash your hands afterward anyway, right ?

The bowl could have a couple of flawed outlets in the rim-wash or they could be clogged and somewhat misdirected by mineral deposits. There could also be an inconsistency in the pan (the elongated front part of the bowl) that caused the problem.

If it is a defect in the bowl it's unusual as Gerber has some pretty effective QC controls in place.
