I live in Florida where the majority of homes are concrete block construction and I'm in the middle of a master bath remodel. I'm planning a dual vanity installation in a currently single vanity bathroom. My problem is that the drain from the single vanity was installed through concrete block and I have no access to the main line without chiseling through the block. I'm a total plumbing novice and this seems like it may be a headache. I'm already assuming this might be too big of a job for me to handle, and I'm wondering if this is even possible? Could a professional do this work? If so any clue on cost? Has anyone on here had success doing it themselves? Any ideas? Thanks!!!

This is a do-able job, but perhaps one that you should allow a professional plumber to do. There are several factors that could affect the cost, so my advise is to get a couple of estimates from local shops. Drains must be properly trapped, vented, and sloped as well as just connected to the main line or you can have problems.
