Is it common - standard to run 3/4" pipe all the way to the outlet for a gas range ?

Dunno why the GC did this, but for the last 3 feet, he used a reducing coupler and it ran 1/2 pipe instead .

I thought that for Gas Ranges, 3/4" is standard.
Can anyone confirm or give any insight.

Unless you have a fancy comercial type stove 1/2" normaly works fine and therewould be no need for 3/4".

Depending on the distance to the meter, and the length of the branch pipe, you might be able to use 1/2" all the way, although I would never do it myself.

Nat gas and LP will size out differently. But the reduction you described will not be a problem for either.
