Do I need to do anything special to "startup" a brand new septic system, or will it just do its own thing...

Just use it. It will start generating all kinds of bacteria all by itself.

What do you mean startup? It's all new and shiney! You want to dirty it up already? If it's unused it won't require any pumping...ever!

You could buy a pressure washer...be just like the drive in car wash
