I want to move my kitchen sink to the other side of the kitchen but don't know what to do with the drain the contractor I am working with says he could cut a trench thru the slad to put the drain line in. is this ok?

Do you think there is another route it could take? A drain must slope at least 1/4" per foot in order to drain, so unless there is another access to the sewer, you contractor may very well be correct.
