Hello,
My tile guy recommended I give this a try. For some reason every plumber that I have over to my house promised to give me a quote and do a very small job, and then they never show again. I live in Southern CA, and I have not had the best luck finding good plumbers.

I can demo the bathroom myself, it does include taking out old tub and putting in a new American Standard tub that has whirlpool feature, small 1.0hp motor (from Lowes). The Kohler sink is Crucible with faucet that jets water out of the wall, Kohler sells the entire stand with counter top through Home Depot Expo.

The Shower will be bath/shower tub combo which will need a new faucet probably Hans Grohe also from Home Depot Expo, I want to keep this part simple.

Without a plumber my project is at a standstill...any advice on where to look for someone reliable and able?

Thanks, Kate

You just have to keep trying. Some plumbing shops don't want to do anything but new construction or jobs where they can make a fairly large paycheck with out a homeowner breathing down their neck. That's some, but not all. There are some that will take on comparatively small jobs in a home remodel. Do you have any friends that have had plumbing work done and who can recommend a plumber? Do stay away from the "handyman" type. He's not going to be licensed or bonded, and he may or may not be up to speed on code requirements.
