Is there any reason I should not use the type L coiled copper tubing to replumb the second floor of my 2-flat. The rigid tubing would require cutting to about six foot lengths and reconnecting as it is pushed up thru the wall from the basement. The existing pipe is 80 years old and running slow so i suspect it is filling up with sediment.

We do a lot of repiping now with PEX which comes in coils and in straight lengths.
If you can, remove as much of the old pipe as possible. Eighty year old pipe is pretty much gone by now. Terry Love
