Okay we are getting ready for a home inspeciton and have just heard about this whole PB2110 thing...now I won't sleep tonight. Can any one tell me if pipe after 1995 still has problems. Our pipe clearly has a 1996 date on it. Had somehitng (crossing my fingures) changed by then?

They had a problem with bands that held the fittings in the pipe.
These bands were put on the connections and then a crimping tool was used to secure them.

Those bands would break and the result would be a leak.

Look to See if you have metal bands on all of the joints or maybe all the connections are a flared like fittings.

Quest makes fittings for that kind of pipe.

I'm sure someone else will have a more complete answer to your question.

Only that the class action suit was settled at that time, and it only covered that piping installed before that date. But if you have a manifold system, which most of those after 1955 were, then you probably do not have a whole lot to worry about, as long as the house water pressure is not excessive.
