We have a well that was installed before we moved into the house. We know nothing about the well water system or pump or anything. This morning we noticed water leaking from the pump I think. I don't think it's supposed to do this but I don't know how to explain the problem when I call someone to fix it or for that matter, who to call for this type of problem. I have attached 2 pictures of the leaking area.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Cherie

I don't see the leak. I do see two tanks I think. One horizontal galvanized tank and a bladder tank. The pump looks like one of those Chinese knockoffs of the Dab pump. But I don't see the leak.

look again. The leaks are shown (encircled), probably using an ink marker.

It would appear the pump housing is in need of a "gasket" tune-up, etc.
take the model #,etc to your local pump dealer/repair shop.
A gasket set kit is not very expensive , approx $ 10.

I saw the circles, but I don't see a leak. It could be anywhere in the circle. If you find a repair kit for that Chinese knock off, let me know where you found it. I haven't had any luck yet.

A swing check in front of a shallow well jet pump is a good reason for a leak to start. I'll bet it makes a big bang when it shuts off.
