I'm doing a basement bathroom reno and I was wondering if anyone could tell
me which cast iron to abs coupler I should buy? I've seen two types: the all metal band with two clamps around a rubber sleeve or a solid rubber boot with two clamps as well. The solid rubber one looks like it would last longer especially under concrete , it's also double the price as the other couplers!
Thanks for any help

The all metal sleeve one is designed for above ground. It holds the pipes in alignment. The rubber sleeve is used underground where it can be supported fully by the backfill. Note my sig line!
