paid about $200 for 60 ' of 1" l soft copper for a water service, all my jobs are t+m for good reason. I do enjoy charging current pricing for all of my fittings in stock. kinda like gas in the ground for shell

You got a good price. Last week I paid $243.00 for 60' of 3/4 K.

I also just turned in my copper and brass scrap last monday and got the following prices.

#1 / clean copper $2.10/lb.
#2 / dirty copper $1.90/ lb.

#1 / clean brass $.90/lb.
#2 /dirty brass $.80/lb.

Someone told me a scrap yard north of me about 45 min. was giving $2.45/lb. for #1 copper scrap.

I'm glad I typically overbuy stuff and leave it sitting around until I need it.

I have about 200 feet of 3/4" K pipe in my basement. I bought it last year thinking I'd get around to running my air lines for my shop. Didn't happen yet, but I'm glad I got it when it was cheaper.

A 250' spool of 12/2 is going for over $80. I bought it last year for under $40

It's cheaper to melt your pennies down and forge your own pipe.

(yeah, yeah, I know, pennies are mostly zinc and only copper plated. Had to go for the joke, though)

Sweet! C'mon, China! Crash! Crash! (or Burst! Burst!) Sorry....need to buy some wiring soon.

I bought a 100 foot roll of 10-3 and it cost $96 plus tax. I buy copper fittings by the pound, it was $1.50 to $2.00 tops, it is now $6 for useable copper per pound. I'll pass till the bottom drops out.

I was wandering if anyone knew if copper is bringing a higher dollar at online auctions now. I have tons of stuff to sell that I'll never use. Might as well make some money back on it.
